CBS definitely soured the summer for the FBI: Most Wanted fandom by giving them some unexpected news, and while some surprises are good, this one is particularly not. If you want to know what we are talking about, keep reading!
Here we go!
With the studio refusing to pay its writers and actors their fair share, we don’t know exactly when FBI: Most Wanted will return for a season 5. What we do know, thanks to Deadline, is that it will do so without one of the main cast: Alexa Davalos.
Davalos joined the show at the beginning of season 3 playing Kristin Gaines, an FBI special agent and former officer with the Office of Naval Intelligence. Her entry was intended as a replacement for Kenny Crosby, played by Kellan Lutz, who was scrapped in the season premiere.
This news is not only a jug of cold water for fans of FBI: Most Wanted, it’s also for the actress herself. According to Deadline, a producer on set informed Alexa Davalos that she would not be returning after filming her final scene for season 4 several months ago.
This explains why there was no hint in the season 4 finale that Davalos’ character, Special Agent Kristin Gaines, might be leaving the series.
Details about how Gaines’ departure will be explained in FBI: Most Wanted Season 5 remain under wraps. So it’s a mystery if Davalos is going to be invited to end her character arc organically. Since the script for the fifth season didn’t start writing due to the WGA strike, anything can happen.
FBI: Most Wanted season 4 aired on CBS.
