Dick Wolf shows are starting to feel like The CW. Not in the drama sense, but in the sense that the stars migrate from one show to another. We don’t mind this because we happen to love the Wolf Universe.
Earlier this year, it was announced that Law & Order: SVU series regular Juliana Aidén Martinez would not be returning for the drama’s 27th season. We didn’t expect to hear that she closed a deal to become a series regular on another Wolf Entertainment show – FBI.
We spent all of the last season waiting for someone to be cast who would last after Scola was left with no partner. He needs one, and no one has worked out for him. So, yes, everyone who does join the cast, we wonder about the role that they are taking on. Are they Scola’s new partner? Are they someone new? We have so many questions.
We have no idea who Juliana Aidén Martinez will be playing in the upcoming FBI season. Lisette Olivera was originally cast as Syd Oritz, temporarily playing Scola’s partner. After that, Emily Alabi was cast as Dani Rhodes, also temporarily playing Scola’s partner.
Neither one has lasted, and we’re okay with that. Neither one of them felt like they fit with Scola. Scola is the type of agent who needs to feel a connection with his partner, and when it’s not there, he doesn’t act like the agent that we’re used to.
Martinez is joining series regulars John Boyd, Missy Peregrym, Zeeko Zaki, Jeremy Sisto, and Alana de la Garza.
The eighth season of FBI will premiere on Monday, October 13, 2025, at 9:00 PM ET on CBS, as part of the fall 2025 schedule.
