FBI: International actor Heida Reed is set to exit the show in season three.
TVLine has reported that Reed, who has played Special Agent Jamie Kellett in the procedural since the show began back in 2021, will leave the show during the upcoming season.
There has been no comment from network CBS, but sources have said that Reed’s exit was “creatively driven”.
While we will see Jamie in season three, it is not yet known when her final appearance in the show will be – but it is believed to be early in the season.
This departure news comes shortly after it was announced by Variety that Batwoman star Christina Wolfe would be joining the show as a series regular. She will make her first appearance as Special Agent Amanda Tate during the first episode of season three.
In her new TV role, Wolfe will join returning cast members Luke Kleintank, Vinessa Vidotto, Carter Redwood and Eva-Jane Willis.
The series follows the elite operatives of the bureau’s International Fly Team which is headquartered in Budapest, Hungary.
Meanwhile, the premiere date for the new season of FBI: International was recently confirmed.
The first episode of season three will air on February 13, alongside the season six premiere of FBI and the season five premiere of fellow spin-off FBI: Most Wanted, with all three shows airing back-to-back starting at 8pm (ET).
This announcement follows the readjusting of CBS’s schedule this year, due to the SAG-AFTRA and WGA strikes – which have both now concluded.
Fans will be excited by this news about the new season, as season two was left on a huge cliffhanger back in May.
The finale, titled ‘Fencing the Mona Lisa’, ended with a bomb going off on the floor below the war room where the Fly Team were operating, putting all of the main characters in serious jeopardy.
FBI: International season 3 debuts on CBS on Tuesday, February 13.
