Family Tragedy Away, Tracker’s Next Season Needs to Take a Closer Look at the Character
Colter Shaw’s personal life is definitely something that’s missing from the overall story.
Tracker season 1 has officially come to an end after the finale aired earlier this week, and there’s sure to be a lot of intrigue in the next season.
While the second season has yet to reveal any official details to fans, the season 1 finale is sure to leave viewers in suspense with a cliffhanger that Colter Shaw will have to deal with in the upcoming season.
While the show’s biggest mystery will likely dominate the plot moving forward, there’s another aspect of Colter’s life that needs to be unraveled, and it involves the series’ most overlooked character.
The ending of the first season proved that Colter didn’t stand a chance as he continued to run from his family tragedy, and it’s time to face it and clear things up. The sequel still has to decide whether Colter’s estranged brother Russell can be trusted as he continues to deny his role in their father’s death, or whether Colter and Russell’s mother were actually involved in her husband’s mysterious death in the woods years ago.
However, Colter has someone else in his life who is not a relative that he needs to clear things up with, and that is his on-and-off girlfriend, Reenie Greene.
Reenie appears in Tracker as a talented lawyer who is supposed to assist Colter with legal matters in his work, but they sometimes go beyond business matters. In the show’s early episodes, it is implied that Reenie and Colter had a brief affair before the first season began the storyline in which Reenie helps Colter get out of prison.
Throughout the rest of the season, Reenie makes it pretty clear that she may still have some romantic feelings for Colter, although the latter is too busy traveling the country to help his people to start thinking about his personal life.
In addition to her rocky relationship with Colter, Reenie leaves behind another mystery that needs to be resolved in the next season, as the first season didn’t give any reason for the character’s decision to officially quit.
By the end of the season, it’s unclear whether she’s set to do something else in her career, but the fact that this is a great opportunity for Reenie to become a regular character in Colter’s investigation.
