Exclusive First Look: Simon Helberg Joins Melissa Rauch in Epic Big Bang Reunion on Night Court

The worlds of The Big Bang Theory and Night Court are about to collide in a major way.

Simon Helberg reunites with his Big Bang onscreen wife, Melissa Rauch, in next week’s season 3 finale of Night Court. Helberg played Howard Wolowitz on Big Bang from 2007-19 alongside Rauch, who played Bernadette from 2009-19. On Night Court, Rauch executive produces and stars as unapologetic optimist judge Abby Stone.

But that’s not all. In a further collision of the extended Big Bang television universe, Raegan Revord — best known for her role as Sheldon’s twin sister, Missy Cooper, on the Big Bang spin-off series Young Sheldon — will also guest star in the courtroom sitcom. Entertainment Weekly has the first look at Helberg and Rauch’s reunion in the sweet behind-the-scenes shot below, as well as a still from the episode that highlights Helberg’s mysterious character.

The 'Big Bang Theory' Reunion on 'Night Court' Brought a Major Twist

NBC teases Helberg will appear in a game-changing cameo that could really shake things up for Abby, while Revord will play Shelby, a teenage runaway who is inclined to marry her soulmate, in an homage to the iconic Michael J. Fox episode from the original series.
The finale will feature back-to-back episodes, and in the first, Abby suspects the courthouse’s new “fun judge” (guest star Michael Urie) may not be as fun as he seems. Gurgs must regain control when her new courthouse welcome video, starring Roz (guest star Marsha Warfield), takes on a life of its own.

In the second episode, Abby finds herself in charge of two runaway teens (Revord), and Dan and Julianne balk at the idea that they’ve become friends. A surprise appearance by a mysterious stranger (Helberg) Abby turns’s world upside down.

Revord and Helberg aren’t the only familiar faces from the Big Bang Theory universe to stop by the courtroom. In January, EW had the exclusive first look at Mayim Bialik, who played Big Bang’s Amy, a neuroscientist who marries Jim Parsons’ Sheldon, in her Night Court guest starring role as a rushed version of herself. And, in season 2, Kunal Nayyar (Raj) guest-starred as British fashion designer and love interest in Abby, Martini Todd Wallace.

Dan Rubin serves as showrunner and executive producer of Night Court, along with Rauch, Winston Rauch, John Larroquette, Mat Harawitz, Lon Zimmet, Lindsey Shockley and Mona Garcea.
