There has been much speculation about the possibility of a Twilight TV show reboot. Fans of the popular vampire romance series have been eagerly anticipating news about a possible revival, with many hoping to see their favorite characters brought back to life on the small screen. While not much has been confirmed yet, rumors continue to swirl about the potential for a new Twilight series, and many are holding out hope that this fantasy story will become a TV reality.
The Twilight book saga was a massive success, with the original books selling over 100 million copies worldwide and the movies grossing over $3 billion at the box office. A TV show reboot would undoubtedly generate a lot of excitement among fans, and The Hollywood Reporter has confirmed that a TV show is officially in development. Because there is no other definitive information, fans will have to continue to speculate and hold out hope for the return to Forks, Washington.
As of now, there is no definitive plot or storyline that would guide this exciting new TV show. However, the author of the original novels, Stephanie Meyer, is set to be involved in the show’s creation, so fans can expect to get more of their favourite characters in a new medium.
Though no mention of the cast has been confirmed, it seems highly unlikely that our favorite Twilight actors would be a part of this reboot. When asked about his thoughts on the series during a Chicks in the Office podcast interview, Taylor Lautner concurred with the hosts that a reboot might not be a good idea. Meanwhile, Robert Pattinson has made his mark on Hollywood over the past few years, starring in The Batman to being named the “Most Beautiful Man in the World” in 2020. In March, the actor and his fiancée Suki Waterhouse welcomed a daughter. When asked about his newborn at the Dior Homme Menswear Spring/Summer 2025 show, Pattinson said, “You know, I’m amazed by how quickly their personality comes. So even at three months, I’m like, ‘Oh … I can kinda see who she is already.'” Kirsten Stewart has also been doing her own thing. She is reported to star in her ex-boyfriend, Michael Angarano’s, second feature directorial film. The actress was also nominated for an Oscar for her starring role in Spencer, which follows the story of the late Princess Diana. However, she hasn’t left the vampire world behind for good. In May, Deadline reported that Stewart will star in the 1980’s vampire thriller Flesh of the Gods alongside Scenes From a Marriage actor Oscar Isaac. The film will begin shooting later this year.
