DAYS really wants us to think of Aaron (Louis Tomeo) as a dateless, charmless, girl-repelling nerd. He plays Dungeons and Dragons! Ari (Marissa Reyes) and Holly (Ashley Puzemis) think he’s lame!
Wouldn’t you think a kid like that, if he actually got to have sex with Sophia (Rachel Boyd), one of the most popular girls in school, wouldn’t keep that information to himself? So, OK, so Aaron is a gentleman. He’s not going to write the information on the bathroom wall. But wouldn’t he boast about it to his best bud, Tate (Leo Howard)? They’re bros. That’s what bros do. Especially since Tate had made it clear he wasn’t interested in Sophia and was only pining for Holly.
Denial is More Than a River in Egypt
Sophia claimed she had never even considered the possibility that Aaron could be the father. She said she “had a feeling” Tate was the dad. Sophia isn’t stupid. She sure acted like it never so much as crossed her mind. And that’s not the thoughtful plan for every eventuality, Sophia, we’ve gotten to know.
A Way Out
Especially when Sophia’s plans went South, and she started lying to Tate. Especially when Tate got obsessed with meeting “his daughter.” Wouldn’t that have been an excellent time to tell Tate, “You are not the father,” and get him off her back?
If Sophia knew she slept with Aaron, wouldn’t she have at least considered that option? Instead, she denied, denied, and then had a complete mental breakdown.
Which makes us wonder if maybe something strange happened between her and Aaron? Could they both have been drugged? Do we have another tainted baked goods situation on our hands? Were they bullied? Were they tricked? None of this makes sense. We’re hoping for an explosive reveal!
