Did Ahsoka get killed by Vader?
Fans have debated if she died as a result of her Force spirit, whether Ahsoka did not die and was actually going down into the Sith temple for some cause, or if her mysterious fate was showrunner Dave Filoni’s way of saying farewell to the main character who did not feature in the original trilogy.

Well, “A World Between Worlds” solved the puzzle, and not in the way everyone anticipated. As it turns out, Ahsoka did survive the duel with Vader on Malachor, but not because she outfought him.

Ezra rescued her by going back in time and yanking her to safety so Darth Vader could not kill her. Ahsoka is still alive. After the third season of Star Wars Rebels concluded, series executive producer Dave Filoni announced that Tano encountered the Bendu during the events of “The Mystery of Chopper Base.”

Despite the fact that these incidents were never presented on film, Filoni tweeted dialogue from their experience as well as artwork portraying the case. Bendu discussed Tano’s forthcoming clash with her former master during their chat.

When Tano clarified that she wanted to know the truth, Bendu retorted that everything, including her, would change as a result of their encounter. As the Togruta failed to see his point, he specified that “change” meant death. Tano asked then if she would die, but Bendu was not sure if she should hear the answer, and so replied that he did not know that before telling her goodbye.

We now know the facts about what happened to Ahsoka on Malachor in Season 2!

Does Ahsoka Die?

Having said that, Ahsoka does not feature in the original film trilogy or any of the currently available canon content outside the original trilogy period, so it’s likely that she either never returns to the main action or remains under the radar of the main players when she does.

The only way to know is to wait and see. Who can say? She couldn’t stand by and make innocent people suffer, so she fought with the new Empire and one of their Inquisitors.

She joins forces with Bail Organa after assisting inhabitants of a farming world in their war against Imperial occupation and becomes one of the Rebel Alliance’s first spies, going under the alias Fulcrum. On Malachor, she encountered and dueled Darth Vader while working with the Ghost.

She was said to be dead, but she survived thanks to the extradimensional properties of the Sith temples on Malachor. The last time we see her is soon after the events of Return of the Jedi. She is released from Malachor and follows Sabine from the Ghost on a hunt for Ezra.

Via a drawing of the Mortis family, Ezra acquired entry to the Jedi temple on Lothal, where he found himself in a world between worlds. The entry into the painting was more than just a new way into the temple Ezra had previously visited; it was a gateway to a pathway spanning all of time and space.

Whoever owns the portal has access to a channel from which they can exert power on events in the past, present, and future.

In the episode arc titled The Daughter, Ahsoka, Anakin, and Obi-Wan have a near-real vision in which the Force manifests itself in two beings: The Daughter, who represents the light side, and The Son, who represents the dark side.

How does this come into play? Well…

As Tano laid dying, the Son turned to assassinate his father. Instead, the Daughter lunged and took the blow, and the shocked Son lowered the pistol as soon as he knew the Daughter was mortally wounded.

Skywalker was advised by the Daughter that she could save Tano if she used him as a medium to channel her life energy into her. They ended the operation as the Daughter died, resurrecting Ahsoka and cleansing her of the darkness.

But how did it come to this? Tano and Kenobi were both abducted soon after by the Son and the Daughter. The Father, the Mortis realm’s master, provided Skywalker with the option of saving Tano or Kenobi and sacrificing the other.

Skywalker chose to use Mortis’ influence to rescue both his master and apprentice. Tano was captured and imprisoned in a tower by the Son. While attempting to free herself, she heard a voice and found herself in the company of a creature who answered her greatest suspicions and fears, especially those surrounding her lord.

Tano has then consequently been tainted by the dark side of the Force. When Skywalker arrived to rescue Tano, the Son told him that if he did not join him, he would kill Ahsoka. Anakin refused, and the Son sent a corrupted Tano to attack her master in response.

Tano stood her ground against Kenobi and Skywalker as the Son and Daughter battled. She eventually snatched the Dagger from Kenobi and smirked and handed it over to the Son.

Tano’s life Force was depleted and she was killed immediately by the Son, who said Tano was no longer useful.
