Details of Colin Lawrence’s Death: Accident That Turned the Dating Series Star md20

While the wait for Season 7 of Virgin River drags on, there is some light at the end of the tunnel — at least for fans of its leading lady, Alexandra Breckenridge. Said lights come with a bit of extra sparkle and a hefty dose of spirit, as audiences will soon see the star of the hit Netflix series pair with the streamer for a little holiday fun. On December 3, the platform invites audiences to feast their eyes on their newest favorite Christmas-themed rom-com obsession, My Secret Santa, which not only features Breckenridge in a leading role, but also boasts supporting performances from both Ryan Eggold (New AmsterdamThe Blacklist) and Tia Mowry (Sister, Sister).

Hailing from The Princess Switch helmer, Michael Rohl, the plot puts Breckenridge on her latest quest for love, this time as a single mother named Taylor who has run out of options and is ready to take some desperate measures to ensure her daughter gets the snowboard lessons she wants. With the help of her friends, Taylor transforms herself into a Santa Claus look-alike to nab a job at the local ski resort, which she easily gets. Soon, Santa’s the talk of the town, but when Taylor begins to fall for the hotel’s manager (Eggold) after meeting him while outside the costume, she wonders how much longer she can keep up the charade and, in turn, keep her daughter cruising down the slopes.

My Secret Santa joins an array of other festive and fresh holiday favorites that Netflix is bringing to its subscribers, which also includes the Alicia Silverstone and Oliver Hudson-led A Merry Little Ex-Mas, the Minka Kelly and Tom Wozniczka-starrer, Champagne Problems, and the Olivia Holt and Connor Swindells-led Jingle Bell Heist. These titles find themselves amidst an already stacked collection of content that contains both original Netflix productions and outside classics.

When Will ‘Virgin River’ Return?

It’s been nearly one full year since Virgin River’s sixth season dropped on December 19, and, in that time, audiences have been eager for any and all updates surrounding when we can expect the folks of the titular town to make a comeback. Back in June, Breckenridge offered a hopeful update, revealing that filming on the seventh season was nearly complete. Even though it feels like a bad sign that more than a year will pass in between seasons, those sentiments couldn’t be farther from the truth, as shortly after its star’s major reveal, we learned that the title had already been given the greenlight for an eighth season. That means that whatever drama awaits us whenever the show eventually returns, viewers can expect at least one more chapter to come from the series that pulls its plots from Robyn Carr’s novels.

While you’re waiting for more Virgin River, get in the spirit of the holidays when Breckenridge sparks up a Christmassy romance in My Secret Santa on Netflix December 3.
