Dermot Mulroney files for divorce from Prima Apollinaare

On June 21, the My Best Friend’s Wedding star filed for dissolution of his marriage with his wife in a Los Angeles County Superior Court. In the records presented by the 61-year-old actor, he noted irreconcilable differences between the duo as the reason behind their decision to split.

Dermot Mulroney curiously shied away from providing a specific date of separation in the divorce request he submitted to the court and instead penned down ‘TBD’ in the section, as per TODAY.

Mulroney initially exchanged vows with his soon-to-be ex-wife, Prima Apollinaare, back on December 9, 2010. In the years since, the couple became proud parents to two children, namely Mabel Ray Mulroney and Sally June Mulroney. While the actor has made his intentions of calling it quits on his union with his wife clear, he seemingly wants to maintain a connection with their daughters.

As such, Mulroney has asked for joint legal and physical custody of the duo’s kids in his legal request. Moreover, he has appealed to the court to waive spousal support for his partner. Dermot Mulroney has instead submitted a request to receive spousal support from his wife, Prima Apollinaare, who is a pop singer. The court has yet to relay the final word on the division of assets and property between the pair.

This will mark the second time that Dermot Mulroney has filed for dissolution of his marriage. The actor’s first wedding took place with Catherine Keener in 1990, before the pair decided to call it quits in 2007. They presently co-parent their only son, Clyde Mulroney, whom they welcomed in 1999.
