While Virgin River fans continue counting down the days until Season 7, Alexandra Breckenridge is bringing some early holiday cheer. On December 3, Netflix debuts its newest festive rom-com, My Secret Santa, starring Breckenridge alongside Ryan Eggold (New Amsterdam) and Tia Mowry (Sister, Sister).
Directed by The Princess Switch filmmaker Michael Rohl, the film follows Taylor, a single mom desperate to get her daughter the snowboard lessons she dreams of. Her solution? Transforming herself into a Santa look-alike to score a job at the local ski resort. The disguise works a little too well, turning “Santa” into a town sensation — and complicating things when Taylor starts falling for the resort’s manager.
My Secret Santa joins Netflix’s expanding slate of holiday originals, including A Merry Little Ex-Mas, Champagne Problems, and Jingle Bell Heist.
When Will Virgin River Return?
It’s been nearly a year since Season 6 dropped, but fans have reason to stay optimistic. Filming on Season 7 wrapped earlier this year, and Netflix has already renewed the hit romance drama for Season 8. So even if the wait feels long, more Mel and Jack is definitely on the way.
