An investigation is ongoing into the deaths of Virgin River actor Callum Kerr’s mother, Dawn Searle, and stepfather, Andrew Searle, who were found deceased at their home in southern France on February 6. French prosecutors shared an update on February 11, emphasizing that the circumstances remain unclear.
According to authorities, post-mortem findings suggested differing causes of death, but investigators have not ruled out any possibilities. Prosecutors in Rodez stated they are still determining whether the tragedy involved a domestic incident or a third party. A search of the property uncovered a box of jewelry, though officials said no object linked to the injuries was found at the scene.
Public prosecutor Nicolas Rigot-Muller described the deaths as violent and confirmed that the case remains open. Dawn, 56, and Andrew, 62, were married in 2023.
