This week, a big event in Salem explodes, but fortunately not in typical Salem fashion — you know, like a bomb. In the latest Days of Our Lives preview, Tony crashes Stephanie’s book launch with big news. Plus, Tate clearly has a new plan in mind to get the truth out of Sophia about their child, but one person could blow his scheme sky-high!
First up, after a bit of a spat last week over who bugged the Titan-DiMera offices, Alex surprises Stephanie and is ready to take their relationship to the next level. What exactly does that mean? Is Alex planning on proposing? If so, two major problems stand in their way. Joy Wesley is still out there and pregnant with Alex’s child, and someone from Stephanie’s past could be returning to Salem!
As half of Salem lined up to adopt Tesoro, Tate and Brady grew closer to the truth after realizing Sophia had lied to them about the picture-frame-perfect parents who supposedly adopted their child. Tate tried every tactic he could think of to get Sophia to talk, and now it seems he’s resorting to drastic measures!
Next week, Tate surprises Sophia at the pub to make sure she’s still coming over to his dorm later, where things clearly get hot and heavy between the two! Obviously, Tate’s playing her, right? He’s not really going to sleep with Sophia again?
Of course, Ari catches Sophia coming out of Tate’s dorm, and Sophia urges her to keep this between them… and from Holly! But will Ari be able to keep the secret?
Last week, Xander began working with Marlena on his anger management problems, and oddly enough, he and Philip grew closer. However, Sarah still appears to be seeking information about the father of her child. Coming up, Sarah confronts Philip again about Xander attacking him. And again, Philip insists his half brother did no such thing. They almost have us believing they are going to retcon Xander beating Philip.
Finally, Tony was thrilled to welcome his nephew Theo Carver back to town and said he had big plans for him. Sounds mysterious and ominous! We’re not sure what is in store for Theo, but at Stephanie’s big book launch, Tony makes his move and informs Alex that he’s filed a lawsuit against Titan’s hostile takeover of DiMera Enterprises.
As the promo closes out, Tony toasts to his father’s portrait and lets Xander and Philip know he wants his father’s company back, and he plans to take Titan as well! What is with Tony’s complete personality transplant since returning to Salem
