David Boreanaz on leaving SEAL Team after season 7?
In just a few days, you’ll have the chance to watch SEAL Team season 7 premiere — are you ready for the final stretch?
At this point, we’ll start by giving our own answer: Personally, I don’t think we’ll miss the stories. However, we can still understand star/executive producer David Boreanaz, who has said multiple times that he felt it was time to say goodbye to his character Jason Hayes.
In a new interview with CBS Mornings (watch it here), the actor explained how he realized it was time to say goodbye. Part of the reason may just be physical to some extent, as Jason is a really athletic guy and there are a lot of inherent challenges when it comes to operating out in the field. Men and women can only operate for so long in real life, and part of that reason may be reflected in the role-playing. This season is likely to bring a lot of happy endings for everyone, and we can’t wait to see.
Are we all worried at the same time? You better believe it, largely because the show has shown Clay that they’re not afraid to kill if things get dire. There may still be some tragedy to come, but we’re hopeful that at the same time, there will be stories of finding the light and bringing hope to some of the others out there. This show tries to reflect what many real-life operators go through, both in terms of their field missions and then their lives back home.
