As Daniela Ruah and husband David Paul Olson approach 12 years of marriage, the NCIS: Los Angeles star has revealed a surprising truth: they don’t actually celebrate their wedding anniversary.
Instead, the couple marks February 8 — the anniversary of their first date — which this year celebrates 15 years together. Ruah explained that June, when they married in 2014, often finds her in Portugal with their children, making it difficult for the family to be together on the actual wedding date.
“That’s the one we’re always together for,” Ruah shared, calling their first-date anniversary the moment that feels most meaningful to celebrate.
The actress also opened up about raising their two children, River and Sierra, between cultures, maintaining strong ties to Portugal, and the role her longtime NCIS: LA co-star Eric Christian Olsen played in introducing her to David. More than a decade later, Ruah says their partnership remains rooted in balance, support, and shared ambition.
