Things are getting tricky between Kidd and Severide in Chicago Fire season 13, episode 2. Will Damon make it worse?
Last week in the season premiere, we got the introduction to the new Chief, and honestly, he’s not that bad. He’s just going to take some getting used to. Chicago Fire season 13, episode 2 is going to give us more time with him.
The premiere episode was a great introduction to this new Chief. We got a bit about his backstory, with a tease of him being the way he is due to something happening. I did wonder if Herrmann was going to feel a little put out at first, but he is giving the new Chief a chance. He knew he wasn’t going straight into Boden’s chair, and he wasn’t passed over for Pascal so that helps.
There are a few tensions between Kidd and Severide right now. They’re sure to continue as the show continues, and we get a tease of them in Chicago Fire season 13, episode 2.
Will Damon get in between Severide and Kidd in Chicago Fire season 13, episode 2?
The new episode teases problems for Stellaride. It may come down to Damon, who Severide has been spending more time with since finding out they are half-brothers. Damon is going to test the two, and it feels a little like it’s the two of them figuring out how to parent a teen!
Damon will decide to disregard Kidd’s orders on a call. That has to have some serious consequences. These are life or death situations the firefighters are in. However, Damon will turn to Severide for protection. This is sure to cause issues between the couple if Severide takes Damon’s side. Hopefully, Severide will think like a lieutenant and not an older brother.
My favorite part of the synopsis is the bit about Herrmann searching for a new scent. He wants to spice things up with Cindy. I adore watching these two as a couple. They have been together for years, and they continue to put each other first. Herrmann had such a scare when he found out that Cindy had lung cancer, and now he wants to show her how much he appreciates her. Herrmann can always add a bit of humor to the episodes as well, and I’m sure that’s going to be the case with this episode.

There’s also more of Pascal with his three lieutenants, who all have different views on how Pascal leads everything.
