Melanie and Dakota make a triumphant return to the Oscars red carpet 15 years later.
Dakota Johnson clearly got her good looks from her mama, Melanie Griffith!
Mother and daughter hit the Oscars red carpet together on Sunday, both looking gorgeous in dazzling floor-length gowns. Melanie, 57, showed off her super-slim waist in a black, long-sleeved creation, while her 25-year-old daughter sizzled in a bright red Saint Laurent design.
Dakota, whose father is Miami Vice star Don Johnson, is currently riding high thanks to the amazing box-office success of Fifty Shades of Grey. Although Melanie is undoubtedly proud of her daughter’s almost universally well-received performance, Dakota understandably has no desire for her mother to see her in the sexually explicit film.
Melanie dished that she still hasn’t seen the much talked-about big-screen adaptation of E.L. James’ bestselling erotic novel.
“I have not seen Fifty Shades of Grey. I don’t think I’m going to see it,” Griffith admitted to Indiewire last August, adding that Dakota told her parents, “‘You guys cannot come. There’s no way.’ So we’re not going.”
