The release date for season three of Clarkson’s Farm has been announced
Season three of Clarkson’s Farm has finally been given a release date but viewers are going to face a bit of a sticky situation if they want to watch it.
The next season of the Amazon Prime docuseries with Jeremy Clarkson will finally land after over a year since the last – with a fourth also confirmed.
Viewers have a few months yet to wait for the new episodes to arrive but they’ll face a dilemma beforehand.The third season of Clarkson’s Farm will be released on the streaming site on 3 May, after a major change comes into place for subscribers.
Fronted by the former Top Gear host, the popular show follows him as ‘Britain’s most unlikely farmer’ at his Diddly Squat Farm in the Cotswolds.
It first landed on Amazon Prime back in 2021 with viewers getting to see Clarkson like they’ve ‘never seen him before’.
Season three will see the 63-year-old and his team face a whole load of challenges as he tries to make ends meet.
But with a couple of months to go until the new episodes of the docuseries land, there’s less than a week left until changes for Prime Video subscribers are enforced.A site popular not only for Clarkson’s Farm but also the likes of The Boys and Reacher, it will be introducing adverts from Monday (5 February).
Amazon say that the adverts are needed so as to ‘allow us to continue investing in compelling content and keep increasing that investment over a long period of time’.
If subscribers accept the adverts during their viewing experience, the price of their membership won’t change.
However, if you’re hoping to binge the new season of Clarkson’s Farm ad-free, you’ll need to cough up another £2.99 a month, or almost £36 a year.
Amazon said: “We aim to have meaningfully fewer ads than linear TV and other streaming TV providers.”Almost unsurprisingly, users aren’t exactly buzzing with this change as they previously took to Reddit to call it ‘b***sh*t’.
One wrote: “Just cancelled mine and left the comment that ads are a deal breaker and that their service is useless with them.”
Another even put: “Sigh, just another reason to break out the eye patch and parrot. When I ditched Netflix, I thought I would regret it. Won’t regret this one either.”
Others said: “Prime Video now has ads? Why are you so greedy?
“I’m disappointed. It’s a paid subscription service, and I expect and add free experience.”
