– However, it is sad that Parsons confirmed he will not be seen as Sheldon Cooper any more after his cameo appearance in Young Sheldon.

Running for 12 seasons and over 250 episodes, The Big Bang Theory has delivered some of the most memorable and funniest scenes in sitcom history. The NBC show’s humor and intelligent writing contributed significantly to the show’s success. When the co-creator Chuck Lorre was asked about his favorite TBBT scene, he talked about one of the most memorable Jim Parsons moments.

Despite focusing on a group of friends, The Big Bang Theory largely focused on Jim Parsons’ Sheldon Cooper. Parsons was established as one of the show’s primary highlights from the very first episode, when he delivered a long speech about his favorite sitting spot. According to Lorre, it was his favorite moment from the entire show.

What made the pilot episode of The Big Bang Theory so special to Chuck Lorre?

On the 15th anniversary of The Big Bang Theory, the co-creators Bill Prady and Chuck Lorre sat for a conversation with Entertainment Weekly to talk about several aspects of the show. When the creators were asked about their most memorable scenes from the show, Lorre replied that the moment when Jim Parsons delivered a long speech to Kaley Cuoco’s Penny was his favorite.

In Lorre’s favorite scene from TBBT episode 1, Sheldon Cooper made the fans laugh crazily when he delivered a long speech to Penny for occupying his favorite spot on the couch. According to him, the most remarkable element of the unforgettable scene was that there were no real jokes, but just a view of the real world.

” Jim Parsons’ speech about why he sits in that particular spot on the couch in the pilot episode. I think we all watched that and understood something remarkable was happening. There were no real jokes in the speech, it was just a worldview that was so precise, and he brought it to life. It was an astounding moment I’ll never forget. ”

While Jim Parson’s entire speech was a major attraction of the pilot episode, Penny’s weird reaction was the cherry on top. You can check out the scene here:

Jim Parsons played a key role in making The Big Bang Theory so special to sitcom enthusiasts. The audience loved his long monologues centering on his love for Science. His performance as Sheldon Cooper was so iconic that NBC even made a spin-off Young Sheldon, focused on his background and upbringing.

Even the other stars of the sitcom were highly impressed with Parsons’ feats in the show. In a podcast titled Top Five by The Hollywood Reporter (via Screen Rant), Jim Parson’s TBBT co-star Mayim Bialik also praised his acting skills as a convincing physicist- “but Jim Parsons, he clearly is not a brilliant physicist and is a phenomenal actor.”

Can Jim Parsons ever return as Sheldon Cooper on television?

Recently, when Young Sheldon concluded after its successful run, the audience was overjoyed to see the on-screen return of Jim Parsons as Sheldon Cooper. Although it was just for a few minutes, ardent The Big Bang Theory fans were excited to see him in the unique avatar again. Sadly, the actor had an unpleasant response when he was asked about any probable return in a TBBT sequel.

In an interview with E! News, Parsons revealed that he can only return as Sheldon through “reincarnation” in the “next lifetime”.

” Look, never say never to anything. Life is long, God willing. But I don’t think so. ”

Although we are slated to get another project in the TBBT universe in the form of Georgie & Mandy’s First Marriage, we are unlikely to ever see Jim Parsons on-screen as Sheldon again. The 51-year-old has also said that the filming of the Young Sheldon finale was special and reminded him of the experience during the TBBT finale.

The Big Bang Theory and Young Sheldon can be streamed on Max.
