Erin Slaver, the wife of Grey’s Anatomy star Chris Carmack, had an unexpectedly sweet reaction to the season finale cliffhanger that’s left his character’s life hanging in the balance.
The couple took to their shared TikTok account after the jaw-dropping episode aired last week, with a video of Carmack showing Slaver what went down. The two sat side by side on their couch, with the actor warning his spouse that it would “be hard to watch” what was coming.
“I can handle it,” she said confidently, but as the OR her husband’s character Dr. Atticus Lincoln—AKA Link—was operating in exploded, she lamented, “Oh my God! How could they do this?!”
Carmack tried to be supportive, acknowledging how hard it must be to see her husband in such a situation, before she explained that she wasn’t worried about him, but Link’s wife.
“[Jo’s] been through so much,” she emphasized. “She deserves to be happy—this isn’t about you, Chris.”
“It’s literally about me,” he replied in shock as Slaver got up to “go text Camilla [Luddington] and make sure she’s okay.”

Fans were in complete agreement with the actress, with one celebrating, “Erin is a woman’s WOMAN💯👑.”
“Erin is absolutely correct!” another agreed. “Please step aside, sir… this isn’t your moment 🤨.”
“yeah sorry chris i’m with erin on this one,” fans continued to side with her.
“Chris…stop making everything about you 🙄 😂❤️,” someone else quipped.
“That is sooo sweet of her to check in on Camilla. ❤️I hope Camilla is doing ok,” someone else gushed, as another wondered if she ever responded. “We are all worried 😧.”
“There is no way they would do Jo like this again, right?!😬,” someone wondered, but looking back on the history of Grey’s, it’s anyone’s guess what’ll happen.
The show promised the finale would have the “same vibe” as an iconic early episode, which also left several cast members’ fates in question. This time around, however, we have to wait several months to find out who lives and who dies, as opposed to just a week.
