Giving back!
Bachelor Nation saw Joan Vassos and Chock Chapple fall in love and get engaged on the very first season of “The Golden Bachelorette.”
Since their time on the show, the two have been keeping fans updated on their new life together online, often posting about travel adventures, home projects, and quality time spent with their loved ones.
The couple celebrated the new year in Chock’s hometown of Wichita, Kansas, where Joan discovered her fiancé has a sock problem.
“He has hundreds of pairs — it’s causing me great anxiety — because they are all unmatched,” she said in a video she posted online.
She also joked, “I think I need to tell Chock it’s either me or the socks. I’ll let you know what he says.”
It sounds like Chock chose Joan because in a new video he posted on Instagram, he revealed that he’s donating part of his sock collection to people in need.
He said, “As you’ve seen on @joan_vassos social media, I might have a slight sock obsession. Well, today was the day to put those socks to good use! I donated a big batch to the Wichita Rescue Mission, an amazing nonprofit here in Wichita that provides essential services to those in need.”
Chock also shared, “The timing couldn’t be [more] perfect because it is so cold here in Wichita.”
The Golden Bachelor Nation star revealed that in addition to socks, he will also be donating jackets thanks to the generosity of the folks at his office.
He said, “I’ve asked the guys from the office too if they’ve got some jackets. As you can look around you… just look how cold it is and all the snow, so these are going to a great cause.” He then gave a special shout-out to his fiancée, saying, “and thanks Joan for organizing.”
Chock finished his post by writing, “A huge thank you to Joan for pushing me to always be my best and for encouraging me to do this! If you’re looking for a way to give back, consider donating to the Wichita Rescue Mission or another local organization that supports your community.”
