Chicago Fire Season 14 Casts Former CW Star in Mystery Role md14

Chicago Fire season 14 is set to welcome a familiar face when the series returns in 2026. Jeanine Mason, best known for her lead role on Roswell, New Mexico, has joined the NBC drama in an undisclosed role.

The casting was first revealed through an Instagram Stories post shared by Miranda Rae Mayo, giving fans a behind-the-scenes glimpse from the set. The photo shows Mason alongside Mayo, David Eigenberg, and first-time Chicago Fire director Anthony Nardolillo. While details about Mason’s character remain under wraps, her navy-toned outfit — partially visible beneath a winter coat — has sparked speculation that she may be playing a member of the Chicago Fire Department.

With season 14 already exploring major changes within the CFD due to city budget cuts, Mason’s character could be a firefighter temporarily assigned to Firehouse 51 or possibly a civilian connected to one of the team’s calls. NBC has yet to release official episode details, but more clues are expected through upcoming promos and synopses.

Mason isn’t the only new face arriving this season. Max Martini is also set to appear as a new Deputy District Chief, adding to the shake-ups ahead.
