The first look at Wallace Boden’s replacement, played by Dermot Mulroney, has been revealed in a new behind-the-scenes photo from Chicago Fire Season 13. Production on Dick Wolf’s One Chicago series has been going on for quite some time. So while NBC hasn’t released any new footage from next year, viewers have already gotten a taste of what to expect thanks to content from the show’s set. As for Firehouse 51, there have been plenty of photos and videos featuring the main cast of Chicago Fire Season 13. However, this time around, a new photo has debuted the show’s newest member.
In one of the photos shared by the Franklin Park Fire Department on Instagram, Mulroney can be seen in his costume as Firehouse 51’s new captain, Dom Pascal. However, it’s unclear what they were filming for Chicago Fire season 13 when these photos were taken.
Eammon Walker was the first actor to be cast on One Chicago. He played the principle leader of Firehouse 51 for 12 seasons, so of course there will be some adjustment time for the team after he’s gone. Unlike Blake Gallo and Sylvie Brett’s departures from Chicago Fire season 12, Boden’s departure was only announced a few episodes before he left. Admittedly, that’s a bit rushed, considering how important a character he was on the show. In any case, at least his departure led to him climbing the Chicago Fire Department ladder.
Pascal’s leadership style is different from Boden’s, which could lead to new issues in Chicago Fire season 13, considering how rigid Kelly Severide and the rest of the battalion have been.
Not much is known about Pascal at this point, but early reports suggest that he is a cheerful person who works well under pressure. That’s good news, as Firehouse 51 is no stranger to welcoming new recruits, who end up creating conflict within the team. However, Pascal’s leadership style is different from Boden’s, which could lead to new issues in Chicago Fire season 13, considering how accustomed Kelly Severide and the rest of the battalion have become to their way of life. However, in terms of his personal life, Pascal has been estranged from his wife.
Mulroney’s acting ability is unquestionable. However, it remains to be seen how he will fit in with the rest of the Chicago Fire season 13 cast. The One Chicago series is best known for its cast, and since he’s replacing Boden, all eyes will be on how he gets along with his new co-stars.
