The first look at Wallace Boden’s replacement, played by Dermot Mulroney, is revealed in a new Chicago Fire season 13 behind-the-scenes image. Production for Dick Wolf’s One Chicago franchise has been going on for quite a while now. So, although NBC has yet to release any new footage from the upcoming year, viewers are given an idea of what to expect thanks to content from the show’s set. For Firehouse 51, there have been various images and videos featuring Chicago Fire season 13’s core cast. This time, however, a new snap debuts its latest member.
In one of the photos shared by The Franklin Park Fire Department on Instagram, Mulroney can be seen in his attire as the new Firehouse 51 leader, Dom Pascal. Check out all the images below:
The carousel of snaps also includes a look at Taylor Kinney’s Kelly Severide in his uniform, as well as other photos taken in the firehouse. It’s unclear, however, what exactly they were filming for Chicago Fire season 13 when these were taken.
How Dom Pascal Differs From Wallace Boden In Chicago Fire
Mulroney’s Dom Pascal Has A Different Leadership Style To Boden
Eammon Walker was the very first actor cast in One Chicago. For 12 seasons, he played the principled leader of Firehouse 51, so naturally, there will be some adjustment period for the team now that he is no longer there. Unlike the departures of Blake Gallo and Sylvie Brett in Chicago Fire season 12, Boden’s exit was announced just a few episodes before his farewell outing. Admittedly, it was a bit rushed, considering how important of a character he was in the show. In any case, at least his departure led to him climbing the Chicago Fire Department ladder.
Pascal’s leadership style is different from Boden’s, which could result in new issues in Chicago Fire season 13, given how set in their ways Kelly Severide and the rest of the battalion are.
Not much has been announced about Pascal at this point, but initial reports claim that he is a cheerful person who works well under pressure. That’s good news, considering that Firehouse 51 is no stranger to welcoming new personnel who end up creating conflict within the team. That being said, Pascal’s leadership style is different from Boden’s, which could result in new issues in Chicago Fire season 13, given how set in their ways Kelly Severide and the rest of the battalion are. In terms of his personal life, however, Pascal is estranged from his wife.
There is no doubt about Mulroney’s ability as an actor. Still, it is yet to be seen how he fits in with the rest of the Chicago Fire season 13 cast. The One Chicago series is best known for its ensemble, and since he’s replacing Boden, all eyes would be on how well he jells with his new co-workers.
