Chicago Fire Hints at Tragic Farewell—Are Two Major Characters at Risk?

Chicago Fire is teasing not only one character’s death but possibly two. The hit first responder series has always presented great danger for its characters. People died in the first season, and no one has been safe since. It also doesn’t matter if the character is popular or not—anyone can die.

Here is who the show is teasing is in danger in the upcoming episodes.

Chicago Fire Teases 2 Character Deaths

A new promo for Chicago Fire arrived after the last episode ended with firefighter Sam Carver (Jake Lockett) in danger. However, fans need to worry about more than just Sam in the upcoming episode. The promo makes it look like someone might have suffered a dire fate.

The promo starts with paramedic Violet Mikami (Hanako Greensmith) walking out of a room at Chicago Med, crying. Chief Dom Pascal (Dermot Mulroney) had just walked in to see her, and he looked very distressed. After this, it shows that Sam wasn’t the only person in danger. Firefighter Jack Damon (Michael Bradway) is caught in a fire. Jack is Kelly Severide’s younger brother.

Also in the promo, Stella Kidd (Miranda Rae Mayo) saves someone from being hit by a car. It seems that both Jack and Sam are in danger, and with Violet in tears, there is no telling who might have gotten hurt – or even died in the episode.

Does Violet’s Tearful Reaction Point To Jake On Chicago Fire?

With Violet and Sam’s relationship hitting a roadblock in season 12, he began attending a 12-step alcoholics program. He is most likely the person to whom Violet would react this tearfully.

Sam and Violet’s relationship fell apart at the end of Chicago Fire Season 12. When Sam came back to work, he was back with his former girlfriend, who enabled his demons and fostered a toxic relationship that led to his alcohol dependency issues.

Luckily, Sam dumps the toxic girlfriend, and he and Violet are friends again. He has started attending AA meetings and has been working hard to stay sober and get his life back on track. However, things are not always easy on the road to recovery. One thing that went wrong in the last episode was Sam lying to Violet about attending a meeting the night before when he was working.

This led to Sam helping a drunk driver and getting alcohol spilled on him. Violet smells it and assumes the worst, accusing him of drinking on the job. Violet lashed out at him and said she couldn’t trust him anymore. Sam told Stella he had started drinking again and asked for a furlough. After this, Sam left (via NBC).

While Sam’s departure might make it seem like he isn’t the one in danger in the next episode, this could also be a way to write him out of the show if he did relapse after going on furlough and then dying.
