Chicago Fire is back in production and filming in the Chicago area. The extras casting directors are looking to cast locals in the Chicago area who are available to work as paid background extras, in the next week.
Background extras play nonspeaking roles in television or film productions. Extras can be seen in a variety of settings, such as bustling city streets, crowded restaurants, or lively parties, contributing to the overall atmosphere of the scene without drawing focus away from the main action. Their presence helps create a convincing backdrop.
Background extras roles are offered for people who are local to Chicago, suburbs, and surrounding border states to Illinois only.
Here is the announcement posted by the Chicago Fire Casting Department:
Searching for IDENTICAL MALE TWINS, ALL ETHNICITIES, AGES 6 TO 8 YEARS OF AGE, to work as a FEATURED EXTRA (non-speaking extras role) on our next episode of Chicago Fire. These are paid extra roles.
We have cast MANY TWINS and BABIES and we take great care when working with children on set. We are experts when it comes to casting children. The crew is a friendly and professional.
All KIDS we cast will need to obtain a JOAN PHILO WORK PERMIT and we can tell you how to obtain one.
We will film within the next two weeks as early as next week. The date is TBD. We will film in Chicago.
We are searching for TWINS who are not shy and can be comfortable around other adults. The guardian will always be near the set when the child is filming. We cast twins as children can’t work as long on set, and sometimes we have one of the twins come in earlier, and then the other twin a bit later. We also cast twins as sometimes one twin will be better in the moment that we film.
To apply send in a recent color photograph with your TWINS current hairstyle and length, height, weight, age, NAME, GUARDIAN NAME, city and state to [email protected] and put “Male twins” in the subject line. Please include their clothing and shoe size.
This is happening fast. Please send in ASAP!
Thank you for jumping on this opportunity. We cast a lot of children so it’s always good to send in and obtain a work permit for your child.
