Fans of the classic sitcom Taxi are in for a memorable reunion at Happy’s Place. Reba McEntire’s comedy reunites Christopher Lloyd and Carol Kane, who made their names as Jim Ignatowski and Simka Gravas on ABC’s and NBC’s hit Taxi. In season 2, Lloyd plays Clive, a gentleman who loses his phone at Happy’s Place and returns to find it, while Kane plays Theresa, a free-spirited woman with a thirst for justice and adventure, and of course, is desperately searching for her husband Clive. Comedian Cheri Oteri (Saturday Night Live) will also join the cast as Monica, a newly appointed health inspector who is notorious for being strict and never easy on hygiene, promising to bring unexpected humorous situations. Happy’s Place officially returns to NBC on Friday, November 7, at 8/7c, but the airing schedule for episodes featuring Lloyd, Kane, and Oteri has not yet been announced.
However, besides this humorous reunion, the American television world is paying special attention to the latest information from Chicago Fire – one of the films in the “One Chicago franchise” with a huge loyal fan base. According to TV Insider, star Annabeth Gish (The X Files, The Haunting of Hill House) will officially join Chicago Fire season 14 as Annette Davis, the mayor’s chief of staff. This is expected to be a character with a lot of influence on Fire Department 51, especially in the context of politics and administration increasingly tightening the fire department’s operations. Gish will debut right in the new season premiere on Wednesday, October 1, and promises to create many dramatic conflicts as well as new challenges for familiar characters.
Meanwhile, The Young and the Restless also adds a new face to the cast as Matt Cohen (Supernatural) joins as Detective Burrow. He will make his debut on Thursday, October 16, in a major storyline that centers on a shocking case that puts the show’s key characters in danger.
