CBS Sparks Fan Uproar After Fire Country Kills the Wrong Leone md11

Fire Country Spoiler reveal that fans are furious that Vince Leone (Billy Burke) is the Leone that doesn’t survive the Bueno Vista fire. Fans usually love the Fire Country plot twists that come with each season.

Fans feel like Season 4 has crossed a line that goes beyond the usual unexpected turns and heartbreaking sacrifices. This decision seems to undermine the whole point of the show.

Who Are The Leone Family?

The Leones of Edgewater and Fire Country are the core family of the show. Bode Leone (Max Theiriot) returned to Edgewater in Season 1 and had to fight to get acceptance from his father after all of these years.

When Bode went back to prison, Vince was instrumental in getting Bode out of prison and back to Three Rock. Vince was the reason that Bode left town and he later ended up in prison.

Bode, as fans know, wrecked his vehicle with his sister in the truck and she was killed because she was attempting to jump out of the truck while going down the road.

However, this was not Bode’s fault. In Season 3, Bode saved Vince from a fire after he had a huge issue with his heart out in the field.

Vince and Bode enjoyed working together the rest of that time. Bode injured his knee in a fire and was benched.

Fan Favorites We Love

Sharon Leone (Dianne Farr) became a fan favorite for her resilience, wisdom, and unwavering compassion.

However, Sharon and Vince are so connected to each other that being apart could really cause a lot of issues with Sharon’s health.

After all, Sharon had a kidney transplant and Vince helps her keep on top of that. Sharon and Vince seem to fall apart without each other.

The decision to kill any Leone is tragic and fans know that. However, there are expendable Leones and non-expendable ones. In the eyes of fans, Vince is certainly non-expendable.

Fans were invested in seeing Bode and Vince repair their relationship and grow closer. Vince would have to be on the show for that to happen.

CBS Killed The Wrong Leone

Let’s be honest, the fans did not want nor expect the writers to kill off Vince. Vince was one of the ones who carried a great deal of emotional baggage and narrative importance.

This is truly taking away part of the foundation of the show away. Fans understand that A Leone had to die, but seriously, Walter Leone (Jeff Fahey) would have been a much better choice.

This decision is undermining the storyline that has been building since season one. Now we have huge gaps to fill that cannot easily be fixed.

Walter would have died a hero after helping to get everyone from Bueno Vista out of the building and to safety. However, Vince dying to save Walter was a huge waste.

Fans Get Completely Attached

Fans become very attached to these characters and they certainly made sure their displease was known on Social Media. The reaction to this was immediate with hashtags like #JusticeForLeone.

Some fans immediately took to Reddit to voice their opinions on the subject. It should be a red flag when your audience threatens to stop watching and several have. Fans are very upset by the things that cannot happen now.

What is your opinion? Did Fire Country make a huge mistake by killing the wrong Leone? Can Fire Country bounce back from this huge mistake?
