The end of CBS‘ 2024-25 TV season will begin on Thursday, April 17, when the critically acclaimed Matlock concludes its freshman run with a super-sized finale. Then, over the next six weeks, another 18 shows will sign off… including a handful of cancelled procedurals.
As previously reported, FBI: International, FBI: Most Wanted and S.W.A.T. have all been cancelled, while the fates of The Equalizer, Poppa’s House and Watson remain up in the air. The following synopses offer a sense of how each show might leave its fans hanging.
THURSDAY, APRIL 17
9 pm Matlock Season 1 finale (two hours)
When Sarah’s client is arrested after his business partner is found murdered, Billy attempts to help her handle the case while Matty and Olympia contend with a pressing confidential matter. (Previously renewed.)
FRIDAY, APRIL 25
8 pm NCIS: Sydney Season 2 finale
The team races to find a missing stinger missile on the eve of a World War II commemoration ceremony. (Previously renewed.)
9 pm Fire Country Season 3 finale (two episodes)
When a fire erupts at a gas station, Bode and Manny jump into action to protect the patrons and property. (Previously renewed.)
MONDAY, APRIL 28
8:30 pm Poppa’s House Season 1 finale
Poppa prepares to reveal a big secret to Ivy. Meanwhile, Nina takes over Junior’s short film project. (Not yet renewed.)
10 pm NCIS: Origins Season 1 finale
When the murder of Pedro Hernandez is unearthed, Gibbs faces a reckoning. But when he needs his team most, the loyalty of one is brought into question. (Previously renewed.)
SUNDAY, MAY 4
10 pm The Equalizer Season 5 finale
While on a romantic getaway, McCall and Dante are abruptly ambushed by Salazar and his army. Meanwhile, Aunt Vi finally decides to take the next step in her relationship with Captain Curtis, and Dee meets with her favorite author who may be able to help her get into her dream university. MONDAY, MAY 5
8 pm The Neighborhood Season 7 finale (two episodes)
Tina and Gemma plan a joint graduation party for Malcolm and Grover. Then at 8:30 pm, in the backdoor pilot for the potential Malcolm-and-Marty spinoff, the Butlers and the Johnsons help Malcolm start a new chapter in a new city that, while just across town, is worlds away from the neighborhood. 9 pm NCIS Season 22 finale
As NCIS investigates a dangerous connection between the Nexus cartel and Parker’s longtime nemesis, mob boss Carla Marino, the team uncovers a high-stakes plot involving stolen nuclear material. With time running out, Parker is forced into an uneasy alliance that could determine the fate of the operation – and his own future. (Previously renewed.)
THURSDAY, MAY 15
8 pm Georgie & Mandy’s First Marriage Season 1 finale (two episodes)
Georgie panics when he learns that Jim is considering selling the tire store to his rival, and Mandy’s forced to confront a long-running lie. (Previously renewed.)
9 pm The Amazing Race Season 37 finale (special night, 90 minutes)
Teams race to Miami where, after nine countries, 18 cities and more than 29,000 miles, one team will be crowned the winners and receive the $1 million prize.
FRIDAY, MAY 16
9 pm S.W.A.T. series finale (two episodes)
When an auto carrier truck gets hijacked by a high-speed crew, Hondo encounters a ghost from his past – a violent car thief thought to be long-dead. As the brutal road warriors tear across L.A. in pursuit of a mysterious $60 million car, Hondo’s old rivalry reignites, and he’s forced to confront a long-held fear. Also, Gamble is thrust into a personal crisis when her brother, Leon, becomes tangled in the investigation, putting Gamble’s SWAT future in jeopardy.
Then at 10 pm, the SWAT team undertakes its final mission when a violent crew of ex-pat Russian mercenaries holds Los Angeles hostage after planting hundreds of hidden explosives across the city in a bid to extort the release of their brutal leader, Dmitri Rykov. When Rykov is brought to SWAT for safekeeping, SWAT HQ comes under attack, forcing Hondo and 20-Squad to fight for their very survival. (Officially cancelled.)
