CBS has officially charted the future of the NCIS franchise, renewing three series even as fans continue to mourn the cancellation of NCIS: Tony & Ziva. The network confirmed that the flagship NCIS will return for Season 24, while NCIS: Origins and NCIS: Sydney are also moving forward with Seasons 3 and 4, respectively, as part of CBS’s 2026–2027 lineup.
The renewals signal strong confidence in the franchise’s staying power, despite recent disappointment over Tony & Ziva ending after just one season on Paramount+. Michael Weatherly and Cote de Pablo previously thanked fans for their passionate support, calling the revival a meaningful final chapter for the iconic couple.
Meanwhile, NCIS: Origins continues exploring a young Gibbs in the 1990s, and NCIS: Sydney expands the brand internationally. While some doors have closed, CBS is clearly betting big on NCIS’s future.
