CBS is going full throttle with its biggest franchises for the 2025-2026 television season, building its fall schedule around powerhouse brands like NCIS, Fire Country, and Blue Bloods. With a renewed focus on familiar favorites, the network is reshaping its primetime lineup to spotlight franchise-driven programming nearly every night of the week.
Tuesdays will now serve as a dedicated NCIS night, featuring a three-hour lineup that includes the flagship series, the prequel NCIS: Origins, and international spinoff NCIS: Sydney. Fridays will deliver a fire-and-police-packed punch with Fire Country, its new companion series Sheriff’s Country, and Boston Blue—a brand-new Blue Bloods offshoot starring Donnie Wahlberg.
The strategic shift comes after CBS surprised fans by canceling two long-running FBI spinoffs—FBI: International and FBI: Most Wanted—alongside Queen Latifah’s The Equalizer. The move clears the way for fresh chapters in established franchises, with the network betting big on viewer loyalty.
