Casting Surprise on Days: Tyler Joseph Andrews Takes Over as Theo Carver

As Days of our Lives characters continue piling into Salem for the soap’s 60th anniversary, DOOL just recast a legacy character we haven’t seen in years. Theo Carver is coming home, and he’ll be played by Tyler Joseph Andrews.

Welcome Home, Theo

We haven’t seen Theo in Salem since 2023, then played by Cameron Johnson. Last we saw of Theo, he moved abroad and began dating Claire (Isabel Durant), but now that the pair have broken up, it seems the young man is finally returning home to his dad Abe (James Reynolds) and stepmother Paulina (Jackée Harry).

Of course, those aren’t the only ties Theo has to Salem. Not only is he a DiMera, but he’s got a stepsister in Chanel (Raven Bowens) and a rocky-turned-heartwarming friendship with JJ (Casey Moss).

Theo was mentioned just last month when he rang his dad, still broken up over how things ended with Claire. Now, it appears we’ll see Theo much sooner than anyone expected.

Daytime Debut

This go-round, Theo is getting a new face as Andrews makes his daytime debut. The actor’s IMDb page cites his previous work as roles in All American: Homecoming and Black Panthers of WWII.

Andrews keeps a low profile on social media, with only five posts making up his Instagram, including stills from scenes in V/H/S/Beyond and other works.

Catch Andrews on DOOL starting Tuesday, September 9.
