Chief Boden’s departure from Firehouse 51 was arguably its biggest plot, but Jack Damon’s Benny Severide twist was also noteworthy. Amid all of these storylines, it was easy to overlook Carver’s disappearance at the end of the shift, with Stella Kidd saying he went on an unexpected furlough after a particularly tricky call where he and Damon ended up in a brawl.

Amid all of this, Carver, being one of Kidd’s most trusted people on her team, will be of tremendous help. Despite his personal issues, it would be difficult to doubt his loyalty to Firehouse 51.
