‘Days Of Our Lives’ Spoilers: EJ And Belle Lack Chemistry And Depth
Let’s start with the basics. EJ and bland as wonder bread, Belle lack chemistry. EJ is the type of man who needs some spice with his sugar, and Belle doesn’t fit the bill.
Belle is one of those characters who has some grating qualities, but we all excuse it because she’s a legacy character from a core family.
The Peacock soap tries to paint EJ and Belle as star-crossed lovers, but it doesn’t fly. Their “deep” connection doesn’t resonate or feel authentic.
Belle’s family strongly disapproves of her dating EJ, especially Marlena Evans(Deidre Hall). Belle is also the district attorney, which in the real world would be a dealbreaker. EJ has committed countless crimes in Salem.
This long list of dirty deeds includes but is not limited to, kidnapping Rafe Herandez (Galen Gering) and replacing him with an imposter, Arnold Feniger(Galen Gering).
EJ sentKristen DiMera’s(Stacey Haiduk) mother, Rachel Blake (Roslyn Gentle), away so she couldn’t testify against him. In the past, he also once shot Belle’s late father,John Black (Drake Hogestyn), who recently passed away.
Let’s not forget the most nauseating aspect of this couple. EJ sexually assaulted Belle’s sister. Belle acts like she’s so superior to Sami, but she has zero family loyalty. Now, EJ and Belle are going up against each other in court.
The sweet declarations of love don’t compute. We can’t imagine Belle, who is supposed to be a moral and upstanding citizen, would abandon her principles for this man.

After EJ was shot and woke up from his coma, he claimed to anyone who would listen that he was a changed man. But a changed man, but clearly, a changed man he ain’t.
EJ is still manipulating the system. It was made abundantly clear that EJ has the judge or someone very high up in his pocket in his son,Johnny DiMera’s(Carson Boatman) legal case.
EJ and Belle are a toxic pairing. We don’t know how they have managed to stay together for this long. Is the sex that mind-blowing for Belle that she suddenly doesn’t know right from wrong anymore?
Johnny is on trial for shooting his father, and Belle, who is Johnny’s aunt, is the prosecuting attorney on the case.
The week of August 5th, EJ throws Belle under the bus in court.He’s going to claim that Belle has a “major conflict of interest” and the two of them are an item.
Basically, EJ will prove he’s using Belle to get what he wants. We predict that EJ and Belle’s tepid romance won’t last much longer.
EJ isn’t the type to be watered down. He never fully evolves. We saw that in his relationship with Nicole Walker (Arianne Zucker), and he was madly in love with her.
In the end, Belle isn’t exciting enough for EJ, and EJ is a natural-born schemer and a liar who could never measure up to Belle’s standards. They simply don’t seem destined to stand the test of time.
