After starting as support staff on the very first season of “NCIS,” North has now signed an overall deal with CBS Studios, expanding his creative partnership with the network. He currently leads “NCIS: Origins” as co-creator and showrunner, and will continue guiding the prequel through its already-renewed third season.
Gina Lucita Monreal, North’s co-creator and co-showrunner, will depart the series following Season 2. Under his new deal, North is set to develop and produce additional projects across both broadcast and streaming platforms.
Before returning to the “NCIS” fold in Season 14 of the flagship series, North built credits on shows such as “Rizzoli & Isles,” “Scorpion,” and “NCIS: Los Angeles.” His steady rise within the franchise ultimately led to the creation of “NCIS: Origins,” which explores the early career of Leroy Jethro Gibbs, now played by Austin Stowell.
