All three of the One Chicago shows will be returning to NBC for upcoming seasons during the 2025-26 season, but they will all be affected by the network’s cost-cutting measures.
It has been confirmed that the leading actors of all three shows will make a return, though there are some supporting actors who won’t be back due to cost issues.
We also know some other ways the budget issues are affecting the shows: Chicago Fire, Chicago Med, and Chicago P.D.
Deadline reports that all three shows will get 21 episodes each during the 2025-26 season and “most — if not all — cast members will not appear in a couple” episodes each as part of the cost-trimming effort.
The showrunner of Chicago Fire has opened up about the possibility of Jake Lockett making a return to the show in the future.
