Get ready for four thrilling new instalments on Netflix, picking up right where Penelope Featherington (played by Nicola Coughlan ) and Colin Bridgerton ( Luke Newton ) left us hanging.

But hold onto your bonnets, because Penelope is still keeping a scandalous secret under wraps; she’s the mysterious favourite gossip columnist of Queen Charlotte (Golda Rosheuvel), Lady Whistledown, voiced by none other than Julie Andrews.

At the London premiere of Part Two, Golda spilled some tea, saying: “I think the Queen and Lady Whistledown go through some amazing transformations, in terms of emotional transformations and their relationship with each other.” She added with a hint of excitement: “I’m really excited this season that we allowed that to blossom.”

The suspense is real as fans are left wondering if Penelope’s secret will come out in the wash. With more twists promised, it’s going to be a bumpy ride. TVs reigning monarch hinted at an intense near face-to-face showdown between Charlotte and Whistledown in the climactic final four episodes of the season.

She told the Express: “Nicola and I have always talked about being able to finally confront each other,” Golda revealed about the upcoming drama. “So we get a little bit of that in the next episodes about to come.”

Golda also gave her Royal nod to the latest Doctor Who episode, inspired by Bridgerton, saying it “100 percent” gets Queen Charlotte’s approval. She made a guest appearance in the first episode, ‘Space Babies,’ but revealed she hasn’t yet watched the new Doctor Who series featuring Ncuti Gatwa and Millie Gibson, despite making a cameo in the first episode. “The stills and stuff that I’ve seen, absolutely, 100 percent,” she shared.

She also praised Jack Murphy, the choreographer, saying: “I know we had Jack, our choreographer, on there as well, so he sprinkled a little bit of our magic on it.”

At the event, Golda turned heads in Leicester Square, posing against a floral backdrop in a stunning blue gown adorned with summer flowers, topped off with a striking silver headpiece that would make the Queen envious.
