Bridgerton star shares edgy hairstyle on Instagram

Bridgerton star Phoebe Dynevor has revealed her edgy hairstyle.

The actor, best known for her role as Daphne Bridgerton in the hit Netflix period drama, looked unrecognisable on the cover of The Telegraph’s Luxury magazine over the weekend.

Dynevor took to Instagram on Sunday (November 11) to share a series of snaps from the shoot, which showcased her new hair colour, swapping her signature chestnut locks for a blonde look.

Her bleached hair was styled in a wet, tousled bob, complete with full, textured bangs.

Fans were quick to take to the comments section to share their love for Dynevor’s softer look, with many likening the star to actor Uma Thurman and pop star Taylor Swift.

“So sexy and so classy platinum blonde. LOVE this look,” one person wrote.

“Your new haircut suits you and blonde is your hair colour. I love it,” another added, while a third said: “This hairstyle and hair colour looks so good on you!!”

A fourth fan agreed, saying: “You are a diamond!!!! So beautiful,” with another similarly commenting: “Beautiful as always, love the blonde hair.”

This isn’t the first time Dynevor has sported a blonde bob. In 2021, the star paid tribute to Miley Cyrus’ iconic hairstyle with a shaggy platinum wig, which she called her “Miley moment” on Instagram.

Speaking to Vogue in 2022, Dynevor revealed that she regularly dyed her hair blonde as a teenager to avoid being teased for being “red-haired” at school.

“The great thing about getting older is that you start to accept things about yourself that you didn’t like at one point. I’m in a phase where I accept everything, including my pale skin!” she added.

Dynevor recently began production on a new shark thriller titled Beneath the Storm, which is being directed by Violent Night director Tommy Wirkola. The film is scheduled for release in August 2025.

She has also signed on to star in the upcoming horror film Famous, alongside The Iron Claw’s Zac Efron.

Based on the book of the same name by Blake Crouch, the blockbuster centers on Lance Dunquist, a superfan who seeks fame by adopting the likeness of a Hollywood actor.

Bridgerton seasons 1-3 are streaming on Netflix, along with Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story.
