What can you tease about the Fire Country finale? –Psycho Panda Bear

During his visit to TVLine this week, series lead/co-creator Max Thieriot spoke at length about the two-hour finale, which he directed the first half of; here’s a small snippet: “It has certainly some of the biggest practical action that we’ve done, and the scope of those sequences is pretty massive.”

And now, from a fireman named Bode to a fireman named Boden…

What can you say about Chicago Fire’s Wallace Boden return in Episode 18 (airing April 16)? Will there be a fallout the impacts the episodes after? –Amaani

When Boden returns to his old stomping grounds, he’ll be “pitted… head-to-head” with new Firehouse 51 Chief Dom Pascal, Dermot Mulroney tells TVLine. “They didn’t pull any punches the way they designed this episode. In brief, there’s an incident that goes really badly, and so, the Deputy Commissioner, Boden himself, has to come in and investigate what went wrong. So he’s asking questions of each of the people in the house about how it went down, and it gets really intense, of course, because of his allegiances. All of that comes through in an amazing episode that’s written from a couple of different perspectives of the same event.”

Anything on The Way Home? –Claire

After kissing Max Goodwin, then getting a text message from her ex Noah that he’s back in town and wants to talk, Alice isn’t sure where her heart lies, says co-showrunner Alexandra Clarke. “I think what she knows is that her future is hers,” Clarke explains. “The bottom line is she gets to decide whatroad she wants to go down, versus what she’s been thinking all season, which is she’s, basically, been in the Elliot role, thinking she’s been told her future and kind of questioning how much is free will versus how much is preordained, and to have that kind of lifted in this very quick, fleeting moment with Casey, I think, is going to set her on a really fun, new, lighter path for [Season 4].”

Longtime reader, first-time writer. What is the status of Sight Unseen on The CW? Season 1 was amazing and left us with a huge cliffhanger, and I know Season 2 already premiered in Canada. Why haven’t they announced anything yet? –Micaela

Because I just checked again and there is simply nothing to announce. Yet?

Matt, any word on when Star Trek: Strange New Worlds and For All of Mankind return. –Foster

As you probably saw earlier today, Strange New Worlds is on track for a summertime return, while For All Mankind … well, Apple TV+ still isn’t offering up even an approximate timetable for Season 5.

I figured on The Rookie that Ridley’s bad lying habit was gonna catch up to him. I would like to know: Was that the last we’ve seen of him, or will he pop up to cause more trouble down the line? –Nash

I asked Richard T. Jones, who plays Lt. Grey, if Seth might pop back up like a bad penny, and he affirmed (after double-checking with publicity), “That story is done at this point.”

Any idea if ABC will order another season of The Rookie? –Ricarda

You’d better hope they do, given how Richard T. Jones teased the finale, which is six episodes away. “That’s the thing about [showrunner] Alexi [Hawley], man, he always leaves it on a little cliffhanger,” RTJ told me. “You’re gonna feel a little annoyed because, like I said, some Monica [Stevens] mayhem is coming. It’s a very big episode once again, so we’ve got the FBI, Felix [Solis] is in it again [as Agent Garza]… I think people are gonna be very happy, but it’s one of those cliffhangers where you’re like, ‘Oh my goodness, when is it coming back?’”

I need some Doctor Who scoop! With the Doctor traveling with a new companion, how much of a role will his previous companion, Ruby Sunday, have in the new season (premiering Saturday, April 12)? How many episodes will she appear in? –Steve

Millie Gibson will appear in both Episode 4, titled “Lucky Day,” and the season finale, “The Reality War.” What’s more, showrunner Russell T Davies told me that “Millie has a scene towards the end of the finale that’s absolutely her finest scene yet.”

Anything on Doc Season 2? –Deb

I asked showrunner Barbie Kilgman if we can expect any new characters, but she caught herself before answering, saying they’d “both be spoilers.” Hmm. She did, though, say they’d “probably want to bring on an additional intern at some point.”

Is there any chance we’ll see Ms. Marvel for real on Daredevil: Born Again? —Chris

I did ask Born Again EP Sana Amanat — who famously co-created the Kamala Khan/Ms. Marvel character — when in the MCU we might next see the Muslim-American superhero. “Oh God, I hope soon!” she effused. “She is beloved by all of us at Marvel, and we have been talking…. Hopefully there will be plans soon, but it is very, very TBD. Hopefully [The Marvels] will not be the last we see of her.” Bonus scoop: Someone in Wilson Fisk’s inner circle is about to get called out for their over-zealous ambition.

Any scoop on Grey’s Anatomy‘s Simone and Lucas? –FLL

You may have heard that in the April 17 episode, Blue and Simone clash over their living arrangements. Well, you should probably wonder what role Lucas will play in that upcoming clash….

Wild Cards was said to have been renewed [up in Canada], but no outlet has posted about it yet. Any info? –Ed

Seems like there was a game of Telephone being played, with one obscure site claiming a Season 3 pickup, and so on, and so on….. But I checked with CBC directly, and there has been no official Season 3 order, yet.

Have you heard anything about the Australian series, Invisible Boys, coming to the States? I loved the book and would love to see the adaptation. –John

I tracked down a rep for Banijay Rights, which handles international distribution for the Australian drama, and there is no news at this time on it finding any Stateside home.

Sheriff Country appears to be set for filming in Toronto. Are both of CBS two new, major shows going to be shot in Toronto? –NewsJunkie

CBS still isn’t officially confirming Boston Blue‘s situation, but Max Thieriot vouched that Sheriff Country will film in Toronto, even though Fire Country calls Vancouver home. As such, future crossovers “will be more challenging,” he admitted, but “they are still something we plan to do.”

Is there any more Raid the Cage now that it’s been usurped by Survivor/Amazing Race? –Nicole

There are still five Raid the Cage episodes left to air, though no air dates have yet been set.

There have been several articles since the writers’ strike ended outlining programming line-ups on Starz, but a premiere date for Season 3 of P-Valley has been conspicuously absent in every case. Can you find out what’s up? –Michael

I dug into this for you, Michael, and while P-Valley Season 3 has completed filming, there are no further updates at this time.
