Blue Bloods season 14 release date: The end of an era for CBS’ cop drama
The second half of Blue Bloods’ final season is nigh.
All things must come to an end, and Blue Bloods’ season 14 is no different. Earlier this year, the long-running cop drama starring Tom Selleck on CBS aired the first half of its fourteenth and final season. Now, the network has announced when the second half of the season will air.
Blue Bloods centers on a family of police officers in New York City. The family patriarch is Frank Reagan (Tom Selleck), who also happens to be the New York Police Commissioner, bringing new meaning to the idea of bringing work back to one’s home. The last half of Blue Bloods season 14 will premiere on Friday, October 18 at 10:00 PM ET/PT on CBS.
With the end of Blue Bloods in sight, fans have been active on social media, stating their interest in seeing the show renewed for another season. The show has been on the air since 2010, and will be 15 episodes shy of a 300 episode mark by the time the final episode airs next spring. As such, many fans would like to see Blue Bloods hit 300 episodes before it concludes. Whether that ends up happening still remains to be seen, but in the meantime, fans can prepare themselves for the second half of the final season, out this fall on CBS.
