Blue Bloods Grows With Treat Williams Tribute Episode
In the latest TV ratings, CBS’ Blue Bloods was again Friday’s most-watched program, while Fox’s Friday Night SmackDown dominated the night in the coveted 18-49 demo.
Ahead of what looks like a double-episode sendoff for Alex Russell’s Jim Street, CBS’ S.W.A.T. this Friday drew 4.9 million total viewers, holding steady week-to-week. Fire Country (with 5.1 million total viewers) and Blue Bloods‘ tribute to the late Treat Williams and his Lenny Ross character (5.3 mil) both ticked up in audience versus last week’s preliminary numbers.

Fox’s Friday Night SmackDown — “Hollywood Rock” is back, I hear? — added some eyeballs, drawing 2.23 million total viewers. It also ticked up in the demo, with 763,000 viewers landing in that 18-49 sweet spot, which maths out to a 0.6 rating.

The Live+Same Day numbers reported in TVLine’s daily-ish ratings column do NOT reflect a television program’s overall performance, given the increased use of delayed playback via DVR and streaming platforms, plus out-of-home viewing. These numbers (Nielsen fast nationals, unless specifically denoted in bold as finals) instead aim to simply illustrate trends or superlatives.
