Unfortunately, details about the character Hochman will play are not being shared yet. However, we do know that Ackles and Cash will be reprising their roles as Soldier Boy and Stormfront (aka Clara Vought) from the original series. In fact, the prequel will revolve around these two characters.

Vought Rising was first announced back in July 2024 at San Diego Comic-Con. Prime Video ordered the prequel series, which is set well before the events of the main show. It’s described as a “twisted murder mystery,” and it will explore how Vought International came to be in the 1950s. We’ll also get to see the early days of Soldier Boy and Stormfront.
Paul Grellong, who is an executive producer on The Boys, is also an executive producer on the spinoff. He serves as the showrunner as well. Eric Kripke, the creator and mastermind behind the original TV show, is also involved as an executive producer through his company, Kripke Enterprises.
Additionally, Seth Rogen, Evan Goldberg, James Weaver, Neal H. Moritz, Pavun Shetty, Ori Marmur, Ken Levin, Jason Netter, Garth Ennis, Darick Robertson, and Michaela Starr are all signed on as executive producers. Sony Pictures Television and Amazon MGM Studios are the production companies behind the prequel series.
Hochman is best known for previously starring as Joe Hill in the CBS crime drama Blue Bloods. He joined the show’s cast in its tenth season and remained a cast member until the final installment. You might also recognize him from his previous role as Matt in Feud: Capote vs. The Swans. Or, maybe you watched him in the Apple TV+ psychological thriller miniseries Before. He’s also been in several movies such as Critical Thinking, Let Him Go, Master and Atrabilious. Other than Vought Rising, we’ll see him next in an upcoming thriller titled The Cycle.
