Some TV bonds really do last forever.
Kaley Cuoco revealed this week that she still talks to Johnny Galecki “all the time,” years after The Big Bang Theory aired its final episode. While appearing on Watch What Happens Live, Cuoco shut down the idea of a full cast group chat — but confirmed she and Galecki remain close.
“There’s one with me and Johnny,” she said. “All the time.”
Fans of Penny and Leonard know this connection runs deep. Cuoco and Galecki dated in real life for nearly two years during the show’s early seasons, quietly navigating a romance while playing television’s most iconic slow-burn couple.
The relationship ended in 2009, but not on bad terms. Both stars have said there was no cheating, no drama — just two people who transitioned naturally into friendship. Galecki has since said he treasures his bond with Cuoco more than almost any other relationship.
And now, that friendship has fans wondering: could Penny return?
Cuoco recently teased a possible appearance in the upcoming spin-off Stuart Fails To Save The Universe, responding to the question with an unmistakable smirk and wide eyes.
Whether or not Penny returns, one thing is certain — the Big Bang Theory universe may be expanding again, and some relationships never really end.
