Kaley Cuoco is mourning the loss of another beloved furry family member.
On March 20, The Big Bang Theory star sadly went on Instagram to announce the death of her partner Tom Pelphrey’s dog, Blue. The news came just weeks after she lost her puppy King (who she welcomed in June 2023). While she wasn’t dating the actor when Blue came into Tom’s life, Kaley posted a number of photos of the pet to reflect on how important his presence was to her. She opened up about how Blue initially “didn’t want to share” Tom, but “after some time Blue finally realized we were a family and we were all sticking together.”
“💙 BLUE 💙 I have cried harder over the loss of this gorgeous creature than I have in a long time. We have had to put down three dogs in the last year and this one has made me reflect,” she began the emotional caption. “I’m crying for @tommypelphrey… The relationship he had with Blue was so special. They were quite the duo. Traveling the country as a team … job to job then driving home to California where we all settled as a family together!”
“[Blue] was amazing. Protective of me and the rest of our pup crew, always on guard,” Kaley continued. “Matilda came and Blue turned to mush like the rest of us. He was so gentle with her and kind… He was the quiet mascot of our home but Tom was and will always be his one and only. They saved each other. Blue, it was an honor to be your second favorite human down here on earth. I can’t wait for you to meet Norman, Sasha, Kingy, and Dumps. Oh the adventures you will have! 💙💙💙💙💙.”
Shortly after the Based on a True Story actress publicly declared her heartbreak over losing Blue, Tom went to the comments to share how special Kaley’s dedication meant to him. “Love you so much- this is so beautiful,” he replied. “‘To be their voice and to teach our children how to love them.’ An honor and a responsibility indeed. 🙌❤.”
What’s more, when fans saw the pain Kaley and Tom were going through, they reached out online to console them over losing Blue.
“Such a beautiful tribute that I wish you never had to write. All dogs go to heaven, but they really should live forever. 💚,” one person wrote on Instagram. “Sending love and hugs to all of you! 😢,” another penned. “So sorry for your loss… our fur babies fill our hearts ❤️❤️,” a different follower added.
While Kaley and Tom lost Blue and King this year, the actress also mourned the death of her dogs Dump Truck in May 2023 and Norman in January 2021. Each time, she celebrated their memories by sharing emotional posts about how much the pets meant to her and her family.
