Benjamin Hollingsworth is spreading holiday romance both on and off screen. The Virgin River star headlines the new film The Christmas Ring, where he stars opposite country singer and actress Jana Kramer. Their instant chemistry didn’t just elevate the movie—it sparked a fun new idea.
Hollingsworth revealed to Swooon that he and Kramer “clicked immediately” while filming in Nashville, where Kramer lives with her family. Their families bonded during production, and the actor says even his wife thinks Kramer would be perfect for Virgin River.
According to Hollingsworth, Kramer is all in: “‘I’ll come on the show,’” she told him. He’s even planning to pitch the idea to showrunner Patrick Sean Smith.
The Christmas Ring follows military widow Vanessa (Kramer) as she searches for her family’s missing heirloom and unexpectedly finds a connection with antique shop owner Ben (Hollingsworth). The actor says the story beautifully captures “second chances” and rediscovering love after loss.
As for Hollingsworth’s future, he’s gearing up for a big 2026, returning as Brady in Virgin River Season 7, with Season 8 already confirmed.
