Bee-nado and Beyond: Peter Krause on the Exciting Start of ‘9-1-1’
Season 8 The decision to kick off Season 8 of 9-1-1 with a mid-air collision between a plane and a bee turned out to be one of the greatest feats the ambitious series has ever accomplished.

The three-part emergency opening scene had a little bit of everything.

It came to an emotional and action-packed conclusion in Episode 3 of 9-1-1 Season 8, when Athena Grant, with the help of her devoted husband Bobby Nash, landed a plane on a Los Angeles freeway.

Now it’s time for Angela Bassett and Peter Krause, who continue to build their legend as the superstar couple Bathena. And after the touching moment, we had to talk to Krause about it.

A chat with Peter Krause is sure to make you smile.

The veteran actor loves the show he’s been on for eight seasons and counting, has great respect for his on-screen wife, and has great insight into Bobby.

This conversation made me smile, and I hope it made you smile too.

Enjoy this chat, 9-1-1 fans!

Hi Peter. How are you?

I’m fine, Whitney. How are you?

I’m fine, thank you. I wanted to ask you about the progression of Bobby and Athena’s relationship.

When we started season seven, we saw them having some issues in their marriage, which they obviously worked through, but this season, they seem to be stronger than ever.

They don’t communicate very well, and the question of “Why doesn’t she want to be alone with him?” Some of those issues have come up.

Yes. She doesn’t want to disappoint Bobby.

Yes.

I guess she did. She was afraid of, “What are they going to do?” You have to refresh my memory a little bit.

I just remember her not wanting to go on the cruise, but there’s that too. Not wanting to be alone.

Exactly. So, can you talk to me about their evolution? This season, they’re very strong. Are we going to continue to see them kind of lean on each other and rely on each other as the season goes on?
