Beau Knapp to Star in Final Season of SEAL TEAM

Beau Knapp to Star in Final Season of SEAL TEAM
Actor Beau Knapp will join SEAL TEAM as Officer Drew Franklin, a recurring character in the show’s seventh and final season.

For six seasons, SEAL TEAM has been a fixture in the lives of the Navy’s elite SEALs as they serve their country and carry out dangerous missions.

Now, “Knapp will play Drew Franklin, a high-ranking officer with a criminal record whose placement on Bravo Team is a sign that they are a problem child in the eyes of the DEVGRU powers. A smooth talker who exploits every angle to his advantage, Drew delights in the mystery and gossip that surrounds him,” Deadline reports.

SEVEN SECONDS, THE LOST SYMBOL, GOOD LORD BIRD and BLACK AND BLUE are some of the actor’s notable roles.

Knapp is used to playing unpredictable characters. He told Anthem Magazine that he’s played some “pretty bad guys.” Knapp played villains in THE LOST SYMBOL, DEATH WISH, THE NICE GUYS, and MEASURE OF MAN.

Entertainment Weekly adds, “Knapp could be seen on the big screen in Jeff Nichols’ THE BIKERIDERS, alongside Austin Butler, Tom Hardy, and Jodie Comer. The film was recently rescheduled for a June 2024 release after changing distributors. Knapp will also appear in Doug Liman’s remake of ROAD HOUSE, starring Jake Gyllenhaal.”

Movieguide® previously reported that the show would end after an “exciting and satisfying” Season 7: The final season is expected to debut on the streaming platform sometime in 2024. Production is set to begin in December of this year.

Star David Boreanaz also released a statement about the end of SEAL TEAM, saying, “For six seasons, I have been so lucky and blessed to be a part of such an incredible cast and crew. Every day is a thank you to the men and women of the military and Special Forces. I am thankful to the fans and proud that we were able to make this show shine a light into the darkness for so many people suffering today…” “I look forward to season seven and the opportunity to end this series with love and gratitude,” he concluded.
