While several familiar faces from Young Sheldon have already popped up on Georgie & Mandy’s First Marriage, one notable absence has been Iain Armitage’s Sheldon Cooper — and now the actor is sharing why.
Armitage recently revealed that although he’d love to reunite with his former castmates on the CBS spinoff, he doesn’t feel a cameo is essential to the show’s success. According to the actor, the series has done a strong job standing on its own without relying too heavily on past characters.
“As much as I would love to, I don’t think it’s necessary,” he said, adding that he wouldn’t want to “dilute their hard work.”
Still, Armitage hinted there could always be possibilities down the road, especially with the franchise’s longtime writers known for creatively connecting storylines across shows.
