With Virgin River’s fourth season sparking fresh excitement, viewers can’t get enough of Alexandra Breckenridge and Martin Henderson’s undeniable chemistry as Mel and Jack. Their on-screen romance feels so natural that many fans can’t help wondering: are the two dating in real life?
Sorry, shippers — the answer is no.
Alexandra Breckenridge has been happily married since 2015 to musician and actor Casey Hooper, best known as Katy Perry’s longtime guitarist and a performer in her 2015 Super Bowl halftime show. The couple first met at a Grammys after-party, married in a stunning Colorado ceremony, and now share two children, Jack and Billie. They’ve built a cozy life together just outside Atlanta, where Breckenridge says they found the sense of community they missed in Los Angeles.
“And let me say, my husband is incredible — I’m a lucky girl!” she told Good Housekeeping.
As for Henderson, the actor keeps his personal life mostly under wraps. He previously dated model Aisha Mendez, with whom he quarantined during the pandemic, and has since been linked to a New Zealand–based interior designer.
So while Mel and Jack may be destined for romance on screen, off screen Alexandra and Martin are simply close colleagues — and nothing more.
