While NCIS: Los Angeles may have wrapped its impressive 14-season run, the love between Kensi Blye and Marty Deeks still lives on — just in a very different, very real way.
Fans of the hit CBS procedural know the sizzling on-screen chemistry between Daniela Ruah and Eric Christian Olsen. But what some might not realize is that their bond goes far beyond the set: Daniela Ruah is married to Eric’s real-life brother, David Paul Olsen, making them actual family.
From Co-Stars to In-Laws
Daniela and Eric played one of TV’s most beloved crime-fighting couples, balancing high-stakes missions with heartwarming moments that captured fans’ hearts. Behind the scenes, their off-camera connection blossomed thanks to a different kind of matchmaking: Eric himself played a role in bringing Daniela and his brother together.
Back in 2014, Eric revealed on The Queen Latifah Show how he helped spark the romance between his stuntman brother and his co-star:
“I would say something nice about her to him and then say something to him about her. That was enough to kinda get them started in conversation — and it became this wonderful relationship.”
That “wonderful relationship” led to a wedding in Portugal — Daniela’s home country — on June 19, 2014, and the couple have since welcomed two children: son River, 10, and daughter Sierra, 7.
Still Going Strong
More than a decade later, Daniela and David are still happily married, keeping their fans updated with glimpses into their family life through social media. Recently, Daniela shared the spotlight with her sister-in-law, Sarah Wright Olsen (Eric’s wife), as the two moms soaked up the Malibu sun in a glowing Instagram beach snap.
“Two mamas in the sun,” Sarah captioned the photo, with Daniela by her side in a black swimsuit and sunhat, while Sarah, expecting baby number four, flaunted her bump in a burnt orange bikini.

Olsen-Ruah Family Resilience
The beach getaway came after a tough chapter for the close-knit family. In January 2025, Eric and Sarah tragically lost their Los Angeles home in the Palisades wildfire. Amid the heartbreaking loss, Daniela and David stepped in immediately.
Eric shared a moving tribute on Instagram, thanking his brother and sister-in-law for opening their doors with “effortless grace,” saying:
“They took in six extra adults, five kids, three dogs (two of which wanted to murder the others).”
The post, filled with gratitude and emotion, highlighted the deep familial bond between the Olsens and Ruahs — one built on love, laughter, and unwavering support.
